Our instructors bring a plethora of knowledge and passion for their people and their craft! Each instructor brings a unique spin to their classes, with individual styles in drills, climbs, sprints, and music. One factor our instructors all have in common: they care. They care that everyone has a positive experience, leaves class feeling better than when they came in, and that U&S is a welcoming, empowering and invigorating environment.

Monica
Monica is a seasoned instructor with eighteen years of experience. Her beautiful, inviting smile lights up every room she enters, and is DEFINITELY the first thing you want to see in those early morning classes!
Monica absolutely loves group fitness for the energy it brings, the motivation it provides and the community it builds! Her classes focus on hill climbs balanced with HIIT intervals of speed work. She also loves teaching our hybrid HIIT style classes that combine both the cardio challenge of spin with a strength component off the bike. Using only bodyweight and bands, you’ll work your upper and power body as well as your core!

Want to work up a sweat? You are in no better hands than Dani’s, who will guide you through classes full of heavy beats, heavy climbs, and sprints that will leave you exhilarated!
Dani never met a genre of music she didn’t like. From top hits to deep house, expect a wide variety of tracks and choreography in Dani’s spin classes. If you’re a beginner or a seasoned vet, you’ll find both modifications and challenges to push limits while having a blast. Spin by for a class, and Dani will have you dancing all the way through!

Outside of the studio, Tierra is a floral enthusiast, author, and mental health advocate. Her passion for wellness extends far beyond the yoga mat, and her dedication to spreading positivity and empowerment is truly inspiring.

Lisa
Our newest addition to the umbra & sōl family: Lisa! Lisa strives to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space to facilitate power through movement. She focuses on building balanced and approachable sequences that guide participants to find strength in their bodies.
Lisa’s love for Pilates began as a personal quest to add variety to her workouts, until a knee injury meant she had to take a break from high impact activities to heal. What began as a simple curiosity grew into a profound connection where Lisa was not only challenging her body in new ways, but also cultivating a deeper sense of self-awareness and resilience through Pilates practice. She can’t wait to share her love of Pilates with others, and help people find new strength, movement, and power within themselves!

Hi everyone, my name is Rachel! I am a huge fan of spin, Pilates and volleyball. I also love to watch people become more confident, strong, and understand what they are capable of. As part of sōl crew, I am one of the many friendly faces that will welcome you into the studio and I can't wait to meet you!

Hello, my name is Taylor and I am on the sōl crew! I love spin and Pilates, playing volleyball, golf, rugby, and going for walks outside. My favourite movie is Mamma Mia (1 and 2) and concert season is my favourite season! I’m excited to meet you at the studio!

Hi everyone, Laura here – a member of your sōl crew! This community has quickly become a huge part of my life, and growing up here in Whitby playing hockey just makes this connection feel right. When I’m not at the studio you will find me trying new coffee shops with my people, out for a run, or spending time trying new activities and hobbies.

Hi friends! I’m Kaelyn, I’m sure you’ve seen me singing or dancing my way through the studio, but let me introduce myself! By day I work in government finance but that’s the only boring part about me! In my spare time I’m either reading, knitting, or spinning with all of you. Before class you’ll always find me drinking too much pre-workout and shamelessly playing Taylor Swfit as loud as possible!

Hi, I’m Taylor, and I’m a part of the sōl crew. A little about me is that I love all things active. I’ve played hockey all my life and played at university and I’m also a runner who likes all things endurance (slow, long runs only!). Cardio has always been a passion of mine which is what brought me to spin! I’ve run two marathons and plan to run more around the country & world. I’m an aspiring teacher who loves to read and knit in my spare time.
